Friday night we had an opening party for the folks that have made the gallery possible. The town of LaPointe and Madeline Island. We guests included artists from the Island to the construction works that finished the deck 45 minutes before the party started. The time working with the building guys gave me an idea on how to cut the cake for the opening, with a saw-all.
Although the temp dropped about 20 degrees outside during the party and the winds and rain of Lake Superior drove us indoors, great food and visiting was had by all.
We are looking forward to a wonder season on Madeline and will be adding images on a weekly basis and when new work comes to the Gallery.
